The Federal Courts Building in Downtown Los Angeles nears the end of the construction phase. Officially called the United States Courthouse (First Street, Los Angeles), is located at 350 W. 1st Street, in the Civic Center district. It houses federal courts and law enforcement departments. The building is a 10-story, 633,000-square-foot facility with 24 courtrooms and 32 judicial chambers, and it has a glass façade. The courthouse opened in October 2016.
