Los Angeles Jewelry Center, 629 S Hill
Opened in 1930 as the Sun Realty Building, the Los Angeles Jewelry Center is a 12-story, 90,500 sq ft building and one of the few remaining art deco building with a terquois or green terra cotta tile facade.
in 1970 it underwent a major renovation which removed much of the interior art deco styling. However, a few original fittings remain including the original Art Deco elevator doors with their abstract nature scenes and the rear door which has a similar design.
