118 Winston Street
Built in 1887 this 3 story building originally had 2 addresses. 118 Winston St. was the fist floor, which was home to the A.G. Gardner Piano House and 120 Winston St. which was the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. 120 was used as a hotel for new transplants to Los Angeles.
This section of Winston Street, the surrounding neighborhood, and the building itself was the scene of, or associated with, many crimes throughout its history due to it being close to LA's Skid Row.
In more recent decades the building has become more closely associated with Native American support, culture, and art movements. It is now a gallery and creative space operated by These Days.
